Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a protected area and a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Ngorongoro District, 180 KM west of Arusha City in Arusha Region. As one of Africa's Seven Natural Wonders, Ngorongoro is home to over 25,000 animals, including the Big Five: elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, lions, and leopards.
Other animals found in this crater include hippos, hyenas, warthogs, zebras, elands, gazelles, and wildebeests, just to name a few.
Mt. Kilimanjaro is located in northeastern Tanzania, approximately 80 KM from Arusha town. Lying just south of the Equator, it is part of the Kilimanjaro National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, standing at an impressive 19,341 feet (5,895 meters) above sea level.
Lake Manyara National Park is located 126 km (78 mi) southwest of Arusha Region. The park is renowned for its diverse landscapes, abundant wildlife, and particularly its tree-climbing lions. Situated in the Great Rift Valley, the park encompasses a shallow soda lake, groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, and the Rift Valley wall. It is also a prime bird-watching destination with over 400 species recorded, including large populations of flamingos.
The tour begins in Arusha, where we explore the city's lively fruit and vegetable markets, showcasing a wide variety of products. We’ll visit the iconic Clock Tower, symbolizing the connection between Cape Town and Cairo, and the Boma German Museum, which houses fascinating archaeological artifacts. The Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre offers a chance to view art and artifacts from Tanzania and East Africa in one compound. The trip also includes local markets and Meserani Snake Park, where you can learn about various reptiles, especially different species of African snakes.
